New Swimmers and Novice Swimmers Information
The first day of practice, April 22nd, will be a Swim Test Day dedicated to new swimmers. Each newly registered swimmer will be required to swim across the pool based on the coach's discretion. Technique is not required, as long as they can safely make it to the end of the pool on their own.
During the swim test, the coaches are not allowed in the water guiding or helping swimmers across the pool. Each swimmer will be given 3 opportunities to swim the length of the pool during swim test day. After 3 unsuccessful attempts to cross the pool, the swimmer will need to seek learn-to-swim lessons elsewhere. If this is the case, a full refund will be issued.
All swimmers who have passed the swim test will return the following day for practice with their age group. Age group practice times will be announced on the website.
